Welcome to PHYNXFITNESS.

Hey there, My names Asya.

In my early life I was very prone to injury not clumsy at all just unable to perform “normal” tasks and movements. I was surrounded by medical resources having my Dad being a PT and my Mom being an RN but still it seemed the only answer was I was given was that I was “a little double jointed and probably just need to toughen up”. We didn’t stop looking for the right answers, a few years later after i gave up Fencing I moved on to Competitive figure skating where I found I excelled in the flexibility portion but also had the record for most injuries in a year. Through figure skating I found out about a condition called Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, I was tested and diagnosed with moderate to severe Ehlers Danlos. There is not much treatment and at thirteen years old that was hard to except. I tried to overcome and continue my journey in skating but after my ninth joint dislocation in just a few years it became apparent that was not my path but leaving that behind was disappointing.

When I found the gym about six months later it was not perfect right away I definitely had some setbacks physically and mentally. In the long run I found my trainer who helped me through everything, and showed me what it means to be truly passionate about something. My journey didn’t end there though, in the first year of my training things were difficult to say the least. Watching everyone surpass me when I was putting in so much extra time just to get to where they started was hard, but taught me an important lesson. I cannot be compared to others. I am the only one single me, nobody else has lived my life. Through the last six years I’ve dedicated my life to learning how to work smart as well as hard to accomplish my goals faster, and  healthier. I’ve learned a lot about nutrition, hormone balance, and customizing plans for specific needs through being vegan, pescatarian, trying a traditional bodybuilders diet, and now eating a personalized animal based diet. I didn’t want to be on any prescription medication for pain or mental health struggles, so I had to find an alternative through diet and supplements. I’ve found the there are ways to cure the problem from the source instead of just covering a symptom.

I’ve been privileged in the past seven years I’ve spent training myself and the five years I’ve been able to share my experiences and knowledge to transform clients, friends, and family its been the most rewarding, and life changing endeavors I’ve ever experienced. It is my greatest accomplishment to be able to share my knowledge and guide others in the ways I’ve learned to guide myself. I went from being weak, not being able to walk without pain, and dislocating joints constantly to having more mobility than most and being able to lift hundreds of pounds with ease. I believe everyone is capable of rising from the ash, and grow to be more than what our mind is capable of comprehending.
